FINAL MANUSCRIPT UPLOAD

To upload the final manuscript (in EDAS) please complete the following steps by 9 September 2020:

  1. Revise your paper taking into account the review comments. Use the IEEE paper templates and prepare a PDF file according to the guidelines provided in the Manuscript Format Section (see below).
  2. Add the copyright notice to your paper before creating the final PDF. The appropriate copyright notice should appear on the bottom of the first page of your paper according to the guidelines of IEEE Conference Proceeding. View detailed instructions. Details of the copyright notice are listed below:
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is:  978-1-7281-6127-3/20/$31.00 ©2020 Crown
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-6127-3/20/$31.00 ©2020 European Union
    • For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-6127-3/20/$31.00 ©2020 IEEE
  3. Generate an IEEE Xplore compliant PDF paper by using PDF eXpress. The conference ID is:  47815X The PDF eXpress service has already been enabled and it emails the converted PDF that is compatible to IEEE Xplore to the user. To login to PDF eXpress, follow the instructions:
    • New users: Click on "New Users - Click here", enter 47815X as the conference ID, the email address, a password, and continue to enter information as prompted. An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
    • Previous users: As for new users, but the password should be the same that was used for previous conferences. Verify that the contact information is valid.
    • Any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress conversion or PDF Checking may invalidate Xplore compatibility. This includes headers, copyright notice, etc. If any elements are desired, they should be added to the document before a PDF is created.
  4. Register to the conference by September 9, 2020. Conference registration is required to upload the final manuscript. See the Registration page for information about registration.
  5. According to the ComSoc policy, full registration is required to upload final manuscripts and each full registration can cover 1 paper.
  6. Log into EDAS and go to your accepted paper where you should see an upload icon beside "Final manuscript". Click on the upload button. On the next screen, follow the link "IEEE Copyright Submission" to complete the IEEE online copyright transfer form. Do NOT try to upload a scanned copyright transfer form. At the end of the IEEE online copyright process you will be returned to the EDAS paper upload page. Upload your IEEE Xplore compatible PDF file. For help, see the EDAS support documentation.
  7. You may revise your submission by uploading replacement files until the upload deadline on 9 September 2020

PLEASE NOTE: The author list of an accepted paper can NOT be changed in the final manuscript.

NO SHOW POLICY

To be published in the IEEE SmartGridComm 2020 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full, limited, student or author one day only (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions.
